A free swim school open day is being held at St Ives Leisure Centre on Saturday, March 15.
There will be foundation level taster session for children aged 4 years and over at 9am and 10am and a pre-school session for children aged 3-5 years old at 9.30am.
Current swim school customers can take part in a distance session from 10.30am, and an adult taster lesson will start at the same time.
A bouncy castle will also be available for children to use from 10am.
Operating under the Better brand, GLL is the not-for-profit social enterprise that runs St Ives Leisure Centre on behalf of Cornwall Council.
“With summer fast approaching and miles of beaches to enjoy, this is a great opportunity for children and adults to see what lessons are like, for free,” said Natallie Ashton, GLL’s area swim school lead.
“Knowing how to swim and stay safe in the water is a vital life skill – especially in an area like ours, with so much beautiful coastline. Christina and her Saturday teaching team are excellent, and we hope as many people as possible will take advantage of this offer and come along.
“It promises to be both fun and productive.”
