Festive members of a Newquay running club put their best foot forward to help a good causes.
Newquay Road Runners staged its annual Christmas food bank run in aid of Newquay Foodbank.
Around 50 members ran from Newquay Sports Centre to St Michael’s Church where they met representatives of Newquay Foodbank.
The organisation, which helps people in food crisis, opened up especially for the runners to drop off a generous amount of food donated by them.
Newquay Road Runners is part of Foodbank Run which is a national group started to help foo banks across the country by running clubs.
John beard, the social secretary for Newquay Road Runners, said: “The Foodbank Run was a great success.
“It is the second Christmas we have done this and will definitely be a traditional thing.
“We also do a couple Foodbank runs through the year.”
