An evening of traditional sea shanties and Cornish songs featuring four local groups is coming to Falmouth on Saturday, March 1.

The Falmouth International Sea Shanty Festival Fundraiser takes place at the National Maritime Museum Cornwall (NMMC) from 7pm

A rollicking, rousing evening of shanties and Cornish songs starts with The Lemonaires. Next up, Month's Advance, a singing duo also playing double bass and the violin with a quirky take on shanties and a bit of history and local knowledge thrown in.

Then, welcome Falmouth's very own original ladies' shanty group, A Capella Moonshine, to the stage. The night closes with the legendary Oggymen.

There is also the opportunity to buy raffle tickets on the night to win various prizes from generous local businesses. The fundraiser is designed to help raise funds for the Falmouth International Sea Shanty Festival which takes place on June 13-15.
