EMERGENCY services were scrambled following reports of concern for a man in the water at Towan Beach in the early hours of the morning.
Newquay RNLI Lifeboats, Newquay Coastguard Rescue Team, South Western Ambulance Service and Devon & Cornwall Police attended the incident at Towan Beach on Sunday, September 1 at 1.50am.
The man was brought safely to land with the help of members of the public. He was taken to hospital to be checked over as a precaution.
A spokesperson for Newquay Coastguard said: “All assets were stood down once the incident had been resolved.”
