A local disability group is planning for the future.

Newquay Gateway Club, which provides social and recreational activities for adults of all ages with learning disabilities, is staging its 36th annual general meeting at the Sandy Lodge Hotel in Hilgrove Road on Tuesday, May 21, at 7.30pm.

The club meets at Newquay Youth Centre in Chester Road on Fridays at 7pm.

Members undertake a wide variety of activities including darts, snooker, indoor bowls and curling. 

The club also organises outings to various venues within Cornwall and stages fundraising events during the summer months.
