Courageous children are being sought to take part in a Zombie Crawl in Newquay to help run invading ghouls and goblins out of town.

Newquay BID is inviting youngsters and their parents to get their gory get-ups and ghoulish glad-rags on and parade through the town in a spook-tacular Halloween extravaganza on Saturday, October 28.

The business organisation expects the 2023 Zombie Crawl to be even bigger and better than before with the monster of an afternoon staging thrilling dance workshops, freakish face-painting and pumpkin carving as well as the parade.

The line-up will include face painters at Newquay Library, the Lighthouse Cinema, the Band Stand and Great Western Hotel between 11.30am and 2.30pm, 

Scary storytelling with Kathy the Wicked Witch in Newquay Library at 10am, 12noon and 2pm.

A Wound Making Workshop at Newquay Library from 11.30am and 2.30pm A Zombie outfit-making workshop at the Great Western Hotel between 11.30am until 2.30pm. Scary statues outside Newquay Library and in Bank Street and East Street from 12noon until 2pm.

Zombie Pirate Stilt walkers will be roaming Fore Street, Central Square, Bank Street and East Street between 12noon and 2.45pm.

Pop up Dance workshops will be held at the Killacourt, the Library slope, Piazza and the Train Station Parade from 11.30am until 2pm.

The Zombie Crawl will start in a coned area at the rear of Sainsbury’s car at 2.45pm and will at Hotel Victoria at about 4pm.

A spokesperson for Newquay BID said: “Stewards are available to crowd control, young children must have adult supervision

“Fancy dress for both adults and children encouraged.

“The scarier the better.”
