EVERY year Cornwall Innovation Centres host a fun filled Christmas Quiz & Lunch for customers at each centre.

Teams of four get together to battle it out to win the title of quiz champions, followed by a buffet lunch. As well as the Christmas quiz, a raffle runs throughout the festive season with prizes donated by customers of the Centres and local businesses.

Funds raised go to a nominated charity, which changes every year. This year, the recipients of the donations are St Petrocs, an independent charity working to end homelessness in Cornwall. £1,442 was donated to the charity by the Cornwall Innovation team.

Matt Harrington, head of Cornwall Innovation Centres commented: “St Petrocs offer a lifeline to so many individuals who’re struggling on the streets. It’s brilliant to be able to give back to our community, and so heart-warming to see customers at the Cornwall Innovation Centres get behind the charity fundraisers. I’d like to extend my thanks to everyone involved for raising such a brilliant amount of money that’ll support those who need it the most, this winter.”

Millie Ewing, Engagement Office at St Petrocs added: “Thank you again this winter, your support will help light the way out of homelessness, and help someone move from fear to safety, from survival to security, and from darkness to hope.”
