Green & Clean Of Camborne Group have enjoyed another successful tidy up of the town.

Some 27 volunteers helped out last week, including one day when they had to brave heavy showers.

Chair of the group, Paul White said: “It is amazing that we have so many people who are willing to give up their own time to help tidy up their town. They are a credit to Camborne.

“A few people contacted me saying that they couldn’t make the clean-up but they could do another day which was great as I would rather have something done rather than nothing at all.

“Given the size of the area we covered throughout Camborne I was delighted to note an improvement in the overall cleanliness of our town and surrounding areas even the back lanes were better this time.”

This month’s clean up included part of Barripper, Penponds, Beacon and Pengegon. The group collected 25 bags of litter plus a few other small items.
