THE annual Christmas Singalong in St Austell has proved to be a hit once again.
The festive event, held at St John’s Methodist Church, in the town centre has been running for more than 40 years.
John Keast, from the church, said: “For many people I know, the annual Christmas Singalong at St John’s on the second Tuesday of December is the start of their Christmas.”
Cornwall councillor James Mustoe, who went along to the event, described it as the “always amazing St John’s Christmas Singalong”.

And St Austell photographer Paul Williams, who captured scenes from the big event, said: “I've made my feelings known before, the annual Christmas Singalong is the best Christmas event in Cornwall bar none.”
The master of ceremonies and conductor for the evening was Alister Berry.
Gary Whieldon, son of the late event founder Geoff, announced he will be succeeding Frank Stevens as chairman of the singalong.
