ST Ives School of Painting is hosting a whole summer of inspirational short art classes in the historic Porthmeor Studios overlooking the beach; and everyone’s welcome.

From creating dramatic landscapes in acrylics to learning the essentials of painting in oils, St Ives School of Painting is kicking off the summer with a choice of morning art classes, suitable for beginners, intermediates, children or practicing artists.

Taught by a team of local professional artists, the classes will run throughout July and August, with adult classes on Wednesdays and Thursdays and classes for children running every Friday.

The classes are good as an extra activity for the holiday itinerary or giving people the chance to escape the hustle and bustle of the towns and beaches during the holiday season.

Learning in a serene space in the historic studios overlooking Porthmeor Beach, it will be impossible not to be creatively inspired.

Jane Cowans, Director at St Ives School of Painting, says: “Even though we run art courses in the studio and online all year round, our shorter art classes over the holiday season are the perfect opportunity to welcome new students from all over, as well as children looking to try new skills and create their very own piece of art which they can take away with them.”
