A COMMUNITY drop-in giving people a chance to find out more about plans for lithium mining in Cornwall is being held in St Stephen, near St Austell.

Those attending will be among the first to view 3D modelling of Imerys British Lithium plans to co-locate processing and mining — a world-first for lithium — in a ‘mined out’ china clay pit.

The drop-in will be held in St Stephen Community Centre, Fore Street, on Wednesday, October 23, from 3pm to 6.30pm.

An expert team will be on hand to discuss planning, geology, processing and management. They will present plans and use feedback gathered to shape a planning application.
