Fire spread to a shopfront after breaking out in a car yesterday evening (February 26).

The car was "completely destroyed" in the blaze.

Cornwall Fire and Rescue Service were alerted to the emergency in New Road, Port Isaac, at about 9.30pm.

Firefighters from Delabole, Bodmin and Wadebridge put out the fire.

They said the vehicle had been destroyed and the shop damaged by heat and fire.
