Camborne students have qualified to take part in national showjumping championships.
Six riders from Camborne Science & International Academy will be competing for the national NSEA Eventers Challenge Championships at the All England Jumping Course at Hickstead in May.
The school’s show jumping team, who qualified as county champions from the Bicton competition in February, will also be in attendance to compete for their own title.
The Eventers students travelled to Bicton Arena in Devon on March 3 to take part in both team and individual qualifying competitions, where riders are tasked with riding a faultless round within an optimum time.
The 80/85cm team of Amber J, Eleanor N and Chloe M rode excellent rounds and were the only team to finish on a score of 0, giving them the top spot in the class and a place to compete in the national finals at the coveted Hickstead show.
