STUDENTS from Camborne Science & International Academy (CSIA), part of Athena Learning Trust, have showcased their equestrian talents at the Cornwall School's Show Jumping Competition, hosted by The Western Pony Club at Pendarves Equestrian Centre, this term.

With four teams competing in both the novice and open sections, CSIA delivered outstanding performances across the board. In the 80/85cm competition, Amber claimed victory with a stunningly quick jump-off, while Grace earned a commendable fifth place with a great double clear on her new horse.

The Camborne Red Barons team, composed of Myah, Eden, and Lilia secured first place in the show jumping event. Meanwhile, the Camborne Red Rebels team of Amber, Grace, and Chloe clinched second place. In the Best Presented category, CSIA’s Camborne Red Barons and Camborne Red Rebels shone brightly, taking first and second place respectively - an incredible achievement that saw the school dominate the top spots in both show jumping and best presentation.

The novice section brought further accolades for CSIA. Lexi triumphed in the 60/65 cm competition, while the CSIA Red Arrows team - Olivia, Isla, Evie, and Lexi - won first place in the show jumping and third in the Best Presented category. The CSIA Red Devils team, featuring Lottie, Thomas, Martha, and Lana, delivered inspiring performances, with many members making their competitive debut for CSIA.

Emma Haase, principal of Camborne Science and International Academy said: “The event was a tremendous success for CSIA, with riders conducting themselves impeccably and representing their school with pride. Congratulations to all participants for their hard work, teamwork, and sportsmanship throughout the day.”
