Callous vandals have damaged the statue of a soldier at the War Memorial in Penzance on Wednesday after breaking off the rifle and stealing it.
The statue at Morrab Gardens was vandalised sometime between 2am and 3am.

Devon and Cornwall Police are appealing for anyone with information to get in touch.
A spokesperson said: “Enquiries remain ongoing but we are appealing to the public who may have any information or seen anything of note in the area to report it to us.”
