A BODY was discovered along the coastline in Perranporth on Saturday (February 8).

Police, St Agnes lifeboat, Newquay and St Agnes Coastguard search and rescues teams as well as ambulance services attended Droskyn at 10.30am.

Formal identification of the body has yet to take place, although police say the family of Colette Marshall, aged 44, have been informed of the discovery.

Police launched a search for Colette following concerns for her welfare after she went missing from the Perranporth area on Saturday, February 1. A file will be prepared for the coroner.

A spokesperson for Devon and Cornwall Police said: “A body has been located in the search for 44-year-old Colette Marshall who had been reported missing from Perranporth.

“A body was discovered along the coastline in the Perranporth area today, Saturday February 8.

“Formal identification has yet to take place.

“The family of Colette have been informed of the discovery.

“A file will be prepared for the coroner.”
