Christmas in Camborne 2024 proved so successful that organisers are going to be holding two major evening events in 2025, rather than just one.
Volunteers are being sought by BID Camborne to join a working group that will be planning a Saturday Christmas switch-on, instead of combining the occasion with the Christmas lights parade which traditionally takes place on a weekday.
The change is in response to feedback from local business owners keen to spread the benefits of Christmas celebrations over two nights.
BID Camborne manager Anna Pascoe said: “Both the switch on and Camborne Town Council’s Lantern Parade draw a lot of people into town and we want to ensure businesses reap the benefits.
“It’s also great for local people to have two free events in the festive season. BID Camborne has therefore decided to schedule two separate events in 2025 and we’re inviting members of the public to be part of our working group and get involved.
