THE Aldi supermarket in St Austell closed for two days on Monday (January 27) for an upgrade – with the shop on Sandy Hill/Slades Road due to reopen again at 8am on Wednesday (January 29).
Standing at 1,058 sqm of retail space, the changes at the store are part of Aldi’s investment into further improving its shops and services across the UK.
The alterations include increased chiller space, as well as additional room for Specialbuys and redesigned health and beauty, and bakery sections.
The store employs 31 people from the local community and has 85 car parking spaces.
Manager Andrea Semmonds said: “The store is looking fantastic and we can’t wait to welcome our loyal customers back so they can see it for themselves.”
