BIDDING for the old Carclaze school site in St Austell is set to go live on Tuesday, February 4.
The fire-damaged former school is due to go under the auctioneer’s gavel with a freehold guide price of £50,000 to £70,000.
Cornwall Council has instructed the sale of the rundown site after years of trying to find a new use for the plot.
David Henwood, an auctioneer with Clive Emson Auctioneers, said: “This substantial site comprises a fire-damaged building and significant area of hardstanding. It offers a range of possibilities for potential renovation or replacement. Any future use would be subject to all necessary consents being obtainable.”
The site extends to approximately 0.35 hectares (0.86 acres).
The auction concludes on Thursday, February 6.
