TRURO is among England’s unluckiest areas in the Postcode Lottery, according to new research.

The TR postcode, covering mid to west Cornwall including Newquay, Falmouth and Penzance, had 274 wins across its 27 postcode districts — an average of 10.15 wins per postcode district — putting it in sixth place.

VIP Grinders analysed the total number of wins across English cities and towns as of October 2024, dividing this by the number of postcode districts in each area to reveal an average.

The bottom five is dominated by London districts, followed by Halifax and Dorchester; Preston is the luckiest area, with an average of 43.64 wins per postcode district.
