WORK will begin on Monday to upgrade the gas network in the Bodmin Road area of Truro.

Bodmin Road will be closed at its junction with Carvoza Road and Mitchell Hill, with a planned end date of Friday, March 14.

Pedestrian access to the main entrance of Archbishop Benson primary school and the nearby zebra crossing will be maintained.

Wales & West Utilities project manager Jason Gale said: “We’re sorry for any disruption our work might cause.” He added that the road closure was being enforced in agreement with Cornwall Council “to keep the local community, road users and our colleagues safe while we work”.
