THE date has been set to stage Newquay Lifeboat Day.

Newquay Lifeboat Station is gearing up to stage its biggest fundraiser of the year on Saturday, August 2.
Events are due to include operational displays by Newquay Lifeboat and Newquay Lifeguards demonstrating lifesaving techniques in the bay.
Other attractions will include Stormy Stan, carousel, face painting, coastguard, fire brigade, police diving team, RNLI Water safety team, RNLI face to face team, model lifeboats, Rotary with smack the rat, stalls, quiz, raffle, teddies tombola, lucky dip and open the box.
A spokesperson for Newquay Lifeboat Station said: “Newquay RNLI volunteer crew and fundraisers are looking forward to welcoming everyone to this year’s Lifeboat Day.”
