TRIBUTES have poured in following Macca Brown’s annoucement that he is leaving Millbrook after seven years.
A statement from the club said: “It’s the end of an era at Jenkins Park.
“On behalf of all at Millbrook Football Club we would like to thank Macca for everything he’s done over the past seven years and manager of our firsts.
“His enthusiasm for success at the club will always be remembered.”
Mark Pratten who, as chairman, worked alongside Brown for six of the seven years, said: “Thank you Macca, it’s been hard for sure but it’s also been very special and I couldn’t be any prouder of you and the lads.
“You made an impossible dream become an unbelievable reality and that will be forever etched in Millbrook’s history books.
“Enjoy the break and I wish you every success whatever you do next.”
Debbie Foster, wife of loyal player Jake, said: “Macca, you are ther epitome of a leader, friend, confidante, and deep down lovely man to so many players at Millbrook.
“You will be sadly missed but good luck in the future.”
And Richard Arnold said: “Macca did a great job with little budget from start to finish and had great loyalty from players and staff around him. All the best in your next project.”\
