HOLDERS St Austell will aim for a third successive Hawkey Cup final later when they welcome Premier League champions Wadebridge to Wheal Eliza (6.15pm).
The Saints, who represented Cornwall in the South West Area T20 Finals Day last summer having beaten Penzance in the WT Edwards Cup final, eased past neighbours St Blazey in the quarter-final, but will face a far tougher test against a Swans side that will be smarting from their eight-wicket defeat at Penzance on Saturday.
St Austell are a tough proposition at home, and won the semi-final between the two back in 2022 by 21 runs.
The Saints beat Newquay at this stage of the competition 12 months ago, while Wadebridge were edged out at Werrington.
The winners will face Callington in the final at St Austell on Wednesday, June 26.
Both teams are pretty much at full strength, although the T20 format means teams are likely to shuffle their batting orders around compared to during a Saturday ECB Cornwall Premier League game.
