One of the most popular road races in Cornwall – the Storm Force 10 – takes place in Camborne on Sunday.
The event was started in 1998 as the Blaythorne 10 with around just 90 runners but now the event attracts more than 500 athletes and is the first race of the 2023 Cornish Grand Prix Road Racing Series.
It is organised by Carn Runners, who put a lot of effort into putting on the race.
The 10-mile race starts and finishes at Camborne Science & International Academy and take competitors around the country roads and lanes of south-west Camborne. It is known for being a fast course and so usually does attract a strong field.
Last year’s winners were Cornwall AC’s Sam Goodchild and Tamar Trotters Bex Ezra.
