NEWQUAY AFC is thrilled to announce the return of Jack Bray-Evans to the club.
After advancing up the leagues and showcasing his exceptional talent, Jack has chosen to return to his roots, bringing his experience and passion back to his local club.
Jack began his career with Newquay and quickly became a standout player, earning opportunities to play at higher levels.
His journey through the leagues has not only honed his skills but also imbued him with a wealth of experience that he is eager to share with his teammates at Mount Wise.
Jack’s decision to return is driven by his love for the club and his desire to play alongside local players who share his dedication and ambition. His return comes at a pivotal time for Newquay, as the club is determined to push for promotion to the Western League Premier Division.
Club chairman, Jack Hunter, expressed his excitement about Jack’s return, saying: “Newquay AFC is thrilled to announce the return of Jack Bray-Evans to our ranks.
“As chairman, I am delighted to welcome him back to his roots. Jack's return is a huge statement of intent from the club, and I am delighted we managed to get him over the line. Our objective has always been to reunite with the talent that once graced our club, and Jack's return epitomises this vision. His passion for Newquay and his exceptional skills on the field make him a valuable asset. This appointment not only brings back a beloved player but also strengthens our first-team squad, adding leadership and experience to our roster. We look forward to seeing him shine in the red and white once again.”
Jack Bray-Evans shared his thoughts on rejoining the club, saying: “I’m really looking forward to coming back to the club at this time, it feels like there’s been a real turn in a positive direction with Middsy and Jacko taking over as manager and chairman.
“I’m coming back a far better player than when I left, with experience in the Western League, Southern League South and most recently the Southern Premier League with Plymouth Parkway. “I’ve turned down offers to stay at Step Three and from multiple clubs at Step Four and Five because I feel I can take on a leading role in the dressing room and hopefully play a significant role in bringing Newquay (my hometown) back to the football club it should be, which, for me, is competing (eventually) with the likes of Falmouth and Mousehole, as they are setting the benchmark in Cornish football which is where we want to be.”
Since Shaun Middleton took over, Newquay AFC has become a club of choice, where players matter, and community involvement is paramount.
Under his leadership, the club has fostered a shared vision that resonates with both players and supporters. The local community's enthusiastic support has created an environment where people eagerly turn up on matchday, united by a common goal of seeing Newquay AFC succeed.
This signing, along with recent key appointments, ensures that Newquay AFC has a squad capable of delivering promotion to the Western League. It is fantastic to see the progression of Newquay players returning to their home club, sharing the same desire and vision as the club’s management. The commitment from local talents like Jack Bray-Evans is a testament to the club's solid foundation and ambitious future.
The entire Newquay AFC community is eagerly anticipating Jack’s return and the positive impact he will have on the team’s performance. With Jack back in the squad, Newquay AFC is more determined than ever to achieve their goal of promotion this season.
