Newquay boxer Brad Pauls has thanked people in Cornwall for their 'crazy' support ahead of tonight's fight for the England middleweight title.
The 29-year-old, affectionately known as The Newquay Bomb, takes on current champion Tyler Denny (31) at the OVO Wembley Arena live on Sky Sports (8pm).
Writing on social media, Pauls said: "The support has been crazy. I will go through all messages after the fight. See you all tonight."
Denny, a southpaw from Rowley Regis in the West Midlands, has won 19 of his 21 professional bouts, while Pauls is unbeaten in his 16 pro fights.
Pauls told the Voice: “Denny’s a good fighter who has beaten a few up-and-coming prospects recently.
“I’ve been locked away in a training camp in Essex, working really hard and doing whatever it takes.
“I have so much love for everyone who supports me. I really want to do them proud and bring that belt back to Cornwall. I couldn’t do it without the support I get.”
Denny said: “Brad’s a very good fighter but my experience should put me in a good place.”
