THE ladies were greeted with benign conditions on Tuesday, March 25 which was welcome after the windy conditions of the previous week.

The ladies had a choice of an 18-hole Stableford played in teams of three with two scores to count or a nine-hole Stableford.

In the 18-hole team game, the winners with a magnificent 82 points were Katherine Adams, Sandra Lloyd and Abi Crosswood.

Sally Stacey, Michelle Burgess and Michele Perkins were second with 71 points.

In the nine-hole competition, the honours went to Megan Platton with 19 points, who was four ahead of runner-up Diana Luxon.

The men played the Bristol Trophy later that week with the winning team of Jon Hancock and David Longbottom emerging victorious on 84 points.

They were two ahead of Nic Avery and Michael Doust who finished ahead of Will Greig and Mark Ashplant via countback.

That was the same reason why the 81 points scored by Paul Caunter and Robert Eccleston was enough for fourth ahead of C Burley and Cary Clark.
