TRURO City recorded a third consecutive win on the road with a resounding triumph at Chesham United, writes Gareth Davies.
It was also City’s first victory over the Generals in Buckinghamshire, after their previous six trips to The Meadow all ended in defeat.
Connor Riley-Lowe netted for a second successive Saturday, with Tyler Harvey doubling the Tinners’ lead inside the opening 15 minutes.
Substitute Dom Johnson-Fisher, who was thrust into the fray during the opening stanza, then opened his City account four minutes shy of the interval to put Truro in complete control.

After the turnaround, Johnson-Fisher turned provider for Luke Jephcott to ensure three points would head back to the Duchy.
Chesham did have the final say with Mitch Weiss heading home a consolation inside the final 10 minutes, but that goal took little of the gloss off another fine away performance for the Tinners.
City boss John Askey made one change from the side which drew 1-1 with Weymouth at the TCS on Tuesday evening. Tom Harrison, who was injured in the side’s last home clash, was ruled out and replaced by Luke Jephcott.
This prompted a slight tactical adjustment with Jephcott playing just in behind the two-pronged strike force of Harvey and Jaze Kabia.
And on the bench, a fit again Sam Sanders was included in the Tinners’ matchday squad for the first time since late January.
With just three minutes on the clock, Riley-Lowe scored from a Kabia corner to give the visitors a dream start.

It got even better for Askey’s promotion chasers shortly after when Harvey found the mark for the 17th time this season. Zac Bell was bundled over inside the Generals’ half and Riley-Lowe turned provider, delivering a pin-point free-kick which was headed home by City’s number nine.
A shell-shocked home side were struggling to get out of their own half, but they gradually grew into the game and their best opportunity.of the match fell to Nathan Minhas, who rattled the crossbar from a corner.
City were then dealt a blow when Kabia was forced off just before the half hour mark with a hamstring problem, replaced by Johnson-Fisher.
The former Whitehawk flyer was straight into the thick of things, with home striker Mitch Weiss lucky to not receive his marching orders for raising his hands to Johnson-Fisher.
It was clearly a case of frustrations boiling over for the home side, but the referee Joe Dann-Pye opted to caution both players.
With half time approaching, Christian Oxlade-Chamberlain’s long throw once again paid dividends for Truro when he fired the ball into the box. Jephcott turned the ball towards goal and Johnson-Fisher was credited with the final touch.

A 3-0 lead was nothing more than City deserved and into the second stanza, the visitors repelled anything the home side could must and after 66 minutes, added a fourth.
Samson Esan was beaten to the ball by Johnson-Fisher, who raced forward at breakneck speed. He went past home captain Connor Stevens like he wasn’t there and after drawing home custodian Ben Goode, unselfishly squared to Jephcott who tapped home.
City were home and hosed at this point and despite conceding a late consolation, the side are now seven unbeaten, ahead of Tuesday night’s mouthwatering home clash against fellow promotion rivals Boreham Wood.
