YOUNG cricketers in Newquay have scored after being donated new training shirts.

Junior cricketers from Newquay Cricket Club are donning the new apparel donated by Newquay Towan Blystra Lions.

The cricket club had applied for a grant from the charity through their quarterly grant scheme which enables local charities and not-for-profit groups apply for donations of up to £500. Pictured with the Lions are just a few of the many young players wearing their new training kit.

Members from the Blystra Lions visited a training session to see first-hand how the new training shirts are working out.
