Police are appealing for witnesses with any information following a single vehicle collision which occurred on the A30 at Chiverton Cross flyover near Truro yesterday.

Officers were called around 7.34am to reports of collision involved a blue Kawasaki motorcycle on the eastbound carriageway.

The rider of the motorcycle, a male in his 70s from the Redruth area, sustained serious life-threatening injuries and was conveyed by air ambulance to Derriford Hospital.

The road was closed while an investigation was carried out at the scene.
