THE Coastguard has advised people stay clear of the bottom of cliffs following two substantial rockfalls in Newquay.
There have been cliff collapses at Porth Beach and at a cove between Towan and Great Western beaches following the recent heavy downpours.
A spokesperson for Newquay Coastguard Search and Rescue Team said: “Be advised, cliff falls at Porth Beach and a cove between Towan and Great Western Beach.
“The continuing heavy rain will increase the possibility of potential further collapses.
“Keep clear from the bottom of cliffs.
“Thank you to Towan RNLI Lifeguards Newquay for their assistance on this.”
