Thousands of people enjoyed a spectacular fireworks display at Newquay Sports Centre on Saturday night.
Wax Events organised the display which was enjoyed by a huge crowd in between the showers.
A spokesperson said: “Thank you to everyone who attended tonight’s show.
“We had record numbers, partly due to another display getting postponed at the last minute, so it was a little challenging!
“Our team have worked tirelessly all week just to get the event to go ahead. But that was all worth it to see the smiles on so many faces at the end.”
Meanwhile Fistral Beach Bar fireworks, which were due to be held on Sunday night, have been postponed until Saturday at 7.30pm.
A spokesperson said: “The harsh weather conditions deemed it unsafe to carry forward with the display and with people’s safety our number one priority, the decision was made.
“We are incredibly sorry for everyone who made plans to come down and hope to see everyone next Saturday instead.”
