Saltash skateboarding sensation Lola Tambling has grinded out a top result in the World Championships.
The 14-year-old goofy footer finished in sixth place in park skateboarding at the World Championships in Sharjah, United Arab Emirates, from her three runs.
Lola had made a sensational journey from the heats and semi-final through to her first ever finals in a World Championships after competing against more than 60 of the best female bowl skaters in the world.
Skateboard GB team-mate Sky Brown, also aged 14, became world champion at the event
Sky laid down some of her best competition runs of her career to give her a high score of 90.83 and put her firmly into pole position.
That put her more than four points ahead of Japan's Kokona Hiraki, with Olympic champion Sakura Yosozumi, also from Japan, taking bronze.
The World Championships are the first park qualifying event for the Paris Olympics next year.
Skateboarding was one of four new sports added to the Olympics in 2020, with skateboarding events held in both 'park' and 'street' categories of the sport.
