WALES & West Utilities invites Truro residents to hear about its £130,000 investment work to upgrade gas pipes in the Kenwyn Street area.
The work will start on January 2, 2025 and will end the following May, barring any engineering difficulties.
A drop-in session will take place on Tuesday, October 22, from 10am to 4pm at Truro Library. Attendees will be able to view plans and direct questions to members of the project team.
Wales & West Utilities is liaising with Cornwall Council to plan the work and traffic management will be required.
Abby Smith of Wales & West Utilities said: “We know that working in areas like this is not ideal, but it really is essential to make sure we keep the gas flowing to homes and businesses in the area, to make sure the gas network is ready to transport hydrogen and biomethane, so we can all play our part in a green future.
“We’ll have a team of gas engineers on site throughout the project to make sure our work is completed as safely and as quickly as possible while keeping disruption to a minimum.”
