Don’t miss Truro Food Festival, which takes over Lemon Quay today and runs until Sunday.

The centrepiece of the five-day food extravaganza is the Chef’s Theatre, led by Michelin-starred Padstow chef Paul Ainsworth, who will showcase recipes and sign copies of his latest cookbook, For the Love of Food on Saturday.

Also on stage are Great British Menu star Charlotte Vincent, Porthleven restaurateur Jude Kereama, and former Masterchef contestants Charlie Waters from Looe and Kate Attlee from Truro eatery Sabzi.

Other familiar faces include Ugo Massabo of The Cornish Italian, Adam Kesakoff of The Aussie Smoker, and Ben Quinn of Canteen Cornwall.

The next generation of culinary talent shine, with Truro Nourish Hub offering school workshops, and both Truro and Penwith College and Truro School Cookery demonstrating the skills of tutors and students.

The Producer’s Village will feature around 60 artisan sellers, and the Street Food Court and the Skinner’s Festival Bar will fuel festivalgoers. There’ll also be live music and family-friendly entertainment and activities.

Wednesday and Thursday will also see a street market on Boscawen Street featuring regular traders from Truro Farmers Market and Cornwall Shop Small.

Truro Food Festival is hosted by Truro Farmers Market and Cornwall Event Cabins and organised by the team behind The BIG Christmas Market with the support of Visit Truro and sponsorship from GWR, Cornish Sea Salt, Truro and Penwith College, Dales and Skinner’s Brewery.
