Made for Life Organics has been honoured with a King’s Award for Enterprise for Sustainable Development. The Truro-based company is one of 29 businesses to be recognised and awarded within the Sustainable Development category.

The King’s Awards for Enterprise are the UK’s most prestigious business awards in the UK, celebrating the success of exciting and innovative companies leading the way with pioneering products or services, impressive social mobility programmes or commitment to sustainable practices. First established in 1965 by Queen Elizabeth II, they have since been bestowed upon more than 7,000 companies.

Celebrating its 21st anniversary this month, Made for Life Organics offers skincare brand and training provider of Touch Therapy Training for those living with cancer and other long-term health issues. “Delighted” company founder Amanda Winwood was presented with the award by Cornwall’s Lord-Lieutenant, and has been invited to a reception at Windsor Castle in July.

“It is an incredible accolade,” she said. “The Made for Life team has always been very proud of what we have achieved, both in terms of looking after the planet and people’s wellbeing, and this award proves you don’t have to be huge in number to change lives for the better.”
