THERE was traffic disruption in Newquay after roads were closed off following a gas leak at a property on Wednesday afternoon. (September 18)

Firefighters attended the scene after a gas main had been cut in a property in Berry Road at about 2pm.
Police assisted the fire service with road closures whilst firefighters made the “scene safe.”
A police spokesperson said: “Work to make safe a gas main that had been cut in a property in Berry Road has been successful.
“Officers assisted the fire service with road closures We would like to thank the public for their patience.
“Members of the public were advised to avoid the area.”
