THERE was significant traffic disruption in Newquay after a bus collided with a wall on Sunday afternoon (June 30).

The Truronian bus blocked the road at Mount Wise for several hours following the accident, which happened at around 2.15pm. Diversions were put in place, which caused tailbacks.

A spokesperson for Devon and Cornwall Police said: “Police were called to Mount Wise following a report that a bus had collided with a brick wall.

“The road was closed while the bus was moved, and the wall made safe. There were no reported injuries.”
