A grand fireworks display will be staged in Newquay to raise funds for good causes in the community.
Wax Gym has launched ticket sales for the event, which will be held at Newquay Sports Centre on Saturday, November 2, between 6pm and 11pm.
The family-friendly evening will be filled with a spectacular firework display, a range of local street food vendors, an inflatable funfair and live music from The Land Of The Giants.
The annual event will see all profits from ticket sales reinvested into supporting the local community.
The fireworks display raised £16,274 last year, which was pledged by WAX Gym to support a wide range of community projects including sponsoring the Easter Bunny's visit to Newquay Primary School, where every child received a chocolate egg as well as providing all students at Newquay Tretherras with essential school supplies, including pencils, pens and rulers.
A full year of weekly free women’s self-defence classes - to any Cornish resident. Free Men's Mental Health Survival School programs.
The money raised also helped to sponsor six local sports teams and more than 20 independent athletes.
Steve Brown, from Combat Athletics Academy, who runs the free women's self-defence classes, said: "It’s been incredible to see how these classes have transformed lives.
“Many of the women who attend have histories involving domestic violence, and they’ve shared how these sessions have significantly boosted their confidence. Knowing they now have the ability to handle future situations has been life-changing for them.
“One participant, who has cerebral palsy, shared how the classes have improved not only her confidence but also her mobility.”
A spokesperson for Wax Gym said: “This year's event promises to be even more successful, with profits going towards funding new community projects and continuing our vital support programs.
“WAX Gym has already committed to continue financing the popular free weekly women's self-defence classes for 2025.
“Join us on November 2 to see one of the best fireworks displays Newquay has to offer and give back to the community.”
