A TEENAGE marksman from St Austell has set his sights on Olympic glory.

Denzil Grose, 19, a former Penrice Academy pupil, has been selected for the new Olympic potential programme run by British Shooting.

The youngster, who represents England and Great Britain at junior level, completes in the Olympic skeet discipline and has won championships and set records.

First competing in clay target shooting when he was 10 years old, Denzil will be aiming for the Olympics in Los Angeles, USA, in 2028 and in Brisbane, Australia, four years later.

In the meantime, Denzil will be heading to Suhl in Germany next month to represent Great Britain in an International Sport Shooting Federation (ISSF) Junior World Cup competition.
