A surprise appearance by Steve Knightley of Show Of Hands provided a special moment for the packed Norway Square audience at Bob Devereux’s lunchtime poetry and music session on Monday.

Steve, a friend of Bob’s since their early folk music days 50 years ago, visited the Square following Show Of Hands’ sell-out St Ives September Festival performance at The Guildhall the night before.

The pair performed “Oak” with Steve treating the Square to another three songs before setting off home to Devon.

Bob’s free daily poetry and music sessions, starting at 12.30pm and continuing every day of the Festival until Saturday September 23, are attracting a large number of local and visiting performers and spectators.
