FAMILIES enjoyed lots of fun in Newquay to help give the summer a special send off.

Newquay Town Council staged a summer finale at the Killacourt.

Fairground rides were among the attractions ( )

Visitors enjoyed various attractions including a circus workshop, mini fairground rides, Imagine Outdoors workshop, garden games, a children’s silent disco, Cher’s funky faces, charity stall, a bar and a big market.

There was an opportunity to try out circus skills at the event ( )

A spokesperson for the town council said: “Thanks everyone who came and joined in the fun.

“It was a great day out and a great way to end the town council summer events at the Killacourt.”

Councillor Dave Cheney added: “Luckily the rain stayed off until the end and the event was very well attended and very well received.

“I think the numbers that visited were up on last year’s event.

“Melissa Hallam, the town council’s events co-ordinator did a marvellous job, which is normal for her.”
