THE Tesco store in St Austell is taking part in a food donation drive on November 28 to 30.

Shoppers can donate items at the store from Thursday to Saturday to support food banks and charities.

The 12th annual Tesco Winter Food Collection is being held in all Tesco stores in association with the Trussell Trust, which runs food banks, and FareShare, which works to help people who are short of food.

The most needed items are: UHT and powdered milk; tinned meat and fish; sponge/rice pudding; long-life fruit juice; cooking/pasta sauces; tinned vegetables; tinned and dried soup; pasta, rice and noodles; cereal and porridge; and tea and coffee.
