POLICE in St Austell say they have charged a man over repeated alcohol-related disorderly behaviour and harassment in a residential district of the town.

Residents in the Pellymounter Road area, off Porthpean Road, had provided information to the police about the person’s behaviour.

Police said: “A male who has been identified as repeatedly engaging in alcohol-related disorderly behaviour and harassment in the Pellymounter Road area of St Austell was arrested, charged and remanded to court.

“The neighbourhood team have requested the court to consider the application of a Criminal Behaviour Order (CBO) on conviction to prevent and deter the male from engaging in such behaviour in the future.

“Thank you to local residents for providing information and evidence to support the investigation.”
