A skatejam has been held to mark the launch of a new pumptrack in Newquay.
Dozens of scooter riders, BMXers and skateboarders attended the official opening of the facility at Nansledan.
The jam featured live music, rider demos, sessions and informal competitions for scooter, skate and BMX for all age groups, prizes and food and drink.
Maverick Skateparks, who have built the new track on behalf of the Duchy of Cornwall, hosted the event.
The new track has been built behind Nansledan's primary school, Skol Nansledan, off William Hosking Road. It adjoins 'Slynk,' which is Cornish for 'slide', the latest in a series of six adventure playgrounds being built by the Duchy of Cornwall at Nansledan, which has just opened. There is also a brand-new basketball court nearby.
Professional skateboarder Sean Goff is among those who have tried out the new pumptrack.
Sam Kirkness, the development manager at the Duchy of Cornwall, said: "The skate Jam was a fantastic success, with a great turnout and an amazing atmosphere.
“It was wonderful to see so many people of all ages from across Nansledan, Newquay, and beyond coming together to enjoy the new pumptrack and the competitions.
“We’re also thrilled to have opened the new adventure play area, Slynk, alongside the pumptrack and a new basketball court.
“Together, we can only hope that these facilities and the neighbouring playing fields provided by the Duchy of Cornwall will continue to be a brilliant asset to the community, providing a space for both children and adults to have fun and stay active in the long term."
