Emergency services were scrambled following a substantial cliff collapse at Mawgan Porth Beach on New Year’s Day.
Newquay Coastguard Rescue Team were tasked alongside Devon & Cornwall Police to the incident at about 4.30pm.
A Coastguard spokesperson said: “A large amount of rock has fallen from the lower portion of the cliff, on the north side of Mawgan Porth beach, south of the stairs.
“Although the beach and coast path remain open, this area near and including the cave is now at risk of further collapse.
“The public are advised to remain clear of this area for their own safety.”
