The Rotary Club of Newquay has donated £2,000 to help people in need in the town. 

The club match-funded the amount in the charity wishing well at the Dairyland Farm Park attraction and donated funds to the Newquay Foodbank to help towards its Christmas Giving Project.  

President Nick Barnes was accompanied by Sarah Jane Hillman Dingley and Mark Dingley as they presented the cheque to Zoe Nixon, operations manager for the foodbank.  

The club will be raising further funds for the foodbank during the Christmas period through the hanging of stars of remembrance on the Rotary Christmas tree next to Poundland.
