THE Cornwall Bicycle Project, which provides cycling opportunities for children and adults with disabilities, as well as repairing unloved bicycles for use by people who need them, has been boosted by a donation.

The Rotary Club of St Austell Bay has given £500 to the project, specifically to go towards an additional specially-adapted two-person bicycle.

The money was raised at the Cornish Alpine Cycle Challenge, in which more than 200 cyclists took part in July. It was the fourth year that this sportive event has been organised by the rotary club.

A spokesperson for the club said: “If you would like to know more about the Rotary Club of St Austell Bay, please contact Lewis Kelly on 07852 396826.”
