The Driftwood Hotel, overlooking Gerrans Bay on the Roseland peninsula, has been sold to a private investor group.
Boasting sweeping sea views from its position on the South West Coast Path, the New England-style boutique hotel features 14 rooms and a three AA rosette restaurant, along with landscaped gardens and five acres of land leading down to its own private beach.
The coastal retreat has been owned by Paul and Fiona Robinson for the past 22 years, and came to the market as they looked to retire.
“While we have mixed emotions about leaving Driftwood, it has been an amazing journey,” said Paul. “We would like to thank our wonderful staff and guests, many whom of have become friends over the years, for their support.”
The sale was brokered by Stephen Champion, director of Hotels South West at Christie & Co. “The hotel’s location and fantastic reputation helped generate significant interest,” he said.
